This project transformed an existing recreational structure into a modern event pavilion designed to host private celebrations, corporate gatherings, weddings, and community events. Located on a peaceful 42.5-acre property in Tumwater, Washington, the renovation combines contemporary architecture with the surrounding natural landscape to create a flexible venue for year-round use.

The design introduces a dramatic new roof structure with vaulted ceilings, expansive floor-to-ceiling glazing, and generous outdoor gathering spaces that maximize natural light and provide panoramic views of the surrounding property. A large covered deck extends the main event hall outdoors, creating a seamless transition between indoor and outdoor entertainment areas.

The lower level was reconfigured to include a commercial-style kitchen, accessible restrooms, support spaces, and a welcoming entry, while the upper level features an open event hall of approximately 2,379 square feet with direct access to a 696-square-foot covered deck overlooking the landscape. New exterior stairways improve circulation and provide convenient access between levels.

Architecturally, the project combines natural stone, vertical fiber-cement siding, exposed structural forms, and expansive glazing to create a contemporary Pacific Northwest aesthetic that is both durable and elegant. The renovation significantly enhances the building's functionality while preserving the character of the existing structure, resulting in a versatile destination for gatherings of various sizes.

The project included complete architectural design, building documentation for permit approval, coordination with structural engineering, and compliance with current Washington State building and energy codes.
